Colored Pencil Fruits & Vegetables
For this assignment, you will practice coloring and shading with colored pencils.
Step 1: Find a photograph of a fruit or vegetable. On a
piece of paper, draw the outlines of any shapes you see.
Step 2: Color in your drawing lightly.
Step 3: Continue layering your colors. Try to match what you
see in your photograph.
Step 4: When you shade, do NOT just use black.
Try using a darker colored pencil, like brown.
OR use a complementary (opposite) color to shade.
Success Criteria:
1. A fruit or vegetable, drawn realistically
2. Match colors and shadows to the best of your ability
Review Book Success Criteria:
- Draw AND shade an object of your choice realistically, with colored pencils
- Match the colors of the original object as closely as you can
